What is VidCost?

A buying guide for people who make AI video, starting with what each price is based on and what is still unknown.

Who it is for, and what it solves

VidCost is for individual creators and small teams who need to buy AI video tools. It puts the total subscription cost, credit rules, editions and regions, and the date of each source into one decision. The goal is not another directory of tools but fewer expensive mistakes: buying the wrong plan, mistaking an annual per-month figure for the monthly price, or overlooking a regional restriction.

What we can and cannot do

This site records public sources and keeps current prices, older prices it has retained, and unconfirmed prices apart. The tool categories only help you narrow a shortlist; they are not a common quality test, and we do not promise the lowest price anywhere in the world. Eligibility to buy, tax, refunds and commercial-use rights are set by the vendor's checkout page and terms of service.

Independence

There are no paid rankings and no exclusive discount codes, and whether a link pays a commission does not change any ordering.

A link that pays a commission is labelled “Affiliate link” beside the button; every other outbound link is a plain official link with no tracking parameters. The savings shown on the site are worked out from a tool's own published monthly and annual bills, not from anything a vendor pays us.
