Budget and billing cycle

Is annual billing always the better deal?

A lower per-month figure is not a saving if you stop using it early.

Start with how long you will use it

Pick the tool and the exact plan, then compare the total bills against the prices recorded here. An older or reference price is good for a what-if, not a guarantee that you can still buy it; the date each amount was confirmed is stated separately.

Compare by the months you will really use

Monthly total = months used × the monthly price; annual billing is paid a year up front. The comparison only holds when both carry the same entitlements, the monthly price does not change, and you can cancel when you want.

Three things to check before you pay

  • Whether the whole year is charged at once, and whether renewal stays at this price.
  • Whether annual billing grants all the credits at once or refreshes them period by period.
  • Whether cancelling only stops the next renewal or refunds what is left; do not assume a refund until you have confirmed it.
