Privacy notice

No sign-up and no uploads. Your selections and checklist stay on your own device.

What is collected today

This version has no user accounts, email subscriptions or file uploads, and no advertising. Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which by Cloudflare's own account sets no cookies and does not track visitors across sites; it counts visits and page load times. The region and currency you pick, the usage you last entered and the models you add to a comparison are saved in your browser's local storage on your device; this site does not receive them.

External links

When you click through to a vendor's website, you leave VidCost. Third-party sites may use their own cookies, account systems and privacy policies; read their terms before you submit payment or personal information.

Buttons labelled “Affiliate link” pass through the affiliate network's redirect before reaching the vendor's site; the network and the vendor record that click so this site can be paid its commission. VidCost's own pages load no tracking scripts.

Future changes

If accounts, notifications or new analytics tools are ever added, this notice will be updated before they are switched on, and what they are for will be explained next to the feature.
