Krea vs Runway
Both handle creative shorts, product and ad content. Below we compare only what the official sites publish: prices, annual billing, models and credit rules. We don't judge whose output is better — we have no side-by-side samples to publish, so it would be a guess.
Which to choose, and when
- If a confirmed price matters: we verified Runway's price; Krea is currently "Manually recorded price", so recheck its amounts below on the official site before ordering.
- To try one month on monthly billing: Krea is cheaper, Basic at $9/mo; the cheapest on Runway is Standard at $15/mo.
- If you will use it for a full year: the entry plan billed annually is $63 on Krea and $144 on Runway. Annual plans are usually paid up front, so they only pay off if you use the whole year.
- If you want Gen-4.5: both offer it. We only have an exact official rate for it on Runway, so only there can you work out a month's seconds before paying.
- If you want Kling 3.0: both offer it. We don't yet have an exact official rate for it at either.
- If you want Seedance 2.5: both offer it. We don't yet have an exact official rate for it at either.
- If you plan to subscribe inside the iPhone app: we have no Krea in-app prices to compare with its website; Runway costs the same in the app as on its website. Compared at US prices, which exclude tax on both sides.
There is no "better overall" verdict. Each point above fits one situation; choose by whichever matters most in yours.

Credit rules
Krea
Compute units are given monthly and each model uses a different amount; the official documentation gives only approximate figures, so this site does not include Krea in the calculator.
Runway
Standard and Pro credits reset every month; Max carries unused credits into the next month. Rules last confirmed on Sep 14, 2026.
Credits are not a shared currency: one Krea credit and one Runway credit buy different things, so the counts cannot be compared directly.
